Psychological Intervention at The Coché Center

An Introduction To Our Services

This overview introduces you to our services and helps you to get acquainted with how best to make The Coché Center work for you.

Psychological Assessment and Diagnosis

Psychological Assessment for individuals and couples is part of thorough diagnostic procedures for many clients. Solid diagnosis forms the foundation for solid treatment for clients. This overview gives a description of options available.

Teaching and Training at The Coché Center

We have long been committed to excellence in teaching and training undergraduates, graduate and medical students and residents, and colleagues. We train locally at colleges and universities, at The Coché Center, and nationally and internationally for colleagues.

Group Psychotherapy at The Coché Center

Group Psychotherapy for individual adults and for couples has been an area of special expertise at The Coché Center for decades. How to use a group, when to join a group, and how to integrate group therapy into your treatment plan are issues worthy of consideration.

The Weekend Retreats

Ovid said it all when he said, "Skill makes love unending." In five fast-paced hours, we teach you up-to-the-minute knowledge about how to couple for a better life together. We teach you four skills to give you the language of coupling that can get you through the toughest stuff that life throws at you. The Weekend Retreats is a prerequisite for advanced courses in coupling.

The Communications Retreat for Couples

Most of the trouble in bed actually needs to be handled outside of the bedroom. The Communications Retreat for Couples teaches gay and straight couples, married and unmarried couples of all ages, how to "keep the erotic pot bubbling" year after year with the one you love. Learn how your sexual scripting has influenced how you think about sex and intimacy. Learn to rescript yourself and your partner for greater satisfaction and enjoyment year after year.

The Psychology of Money Retreat for Couples

Money is the hardest area for many couples to deal with successfully. Underlying trouble with managing money jointly are many deeper issues worthy of dialogue. Issues include value clashes, inadequate funds for a desired life-style, and disrespect and mistrust between partners. Arguing about money issues can poison intimacy and pleasure for many couples, which are at a loss about how to resolve these problems. We teach about money, and we teach you how to think about money as a couple to promote financial intimacy year after year.
